TQG Client LVCVA wins Best Destination Award at Routes Americas
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) was recently recognized at the Routes Americas conference for Best Destination Marketing Campaign. The Routes Awards are regarded as the most prestigious awards in the industry, since they are voted for and judged by the airline network planning community. They’re basically the Screen Actors Guild Awards of the air service industry.
We’re happy to have played a role—pun intended—by contributing to the campaign and preparing the award submission, but mostly we’re happy for the success of the LVCVA team and the recognition they received for their hard work in the world of aviation marketing.
The awards recognize efforts in destination marketing, especially those which jointly supported their airport and airline partners. Often the celebrated work involves research for new marketing opportunities, innovative use of technologies or techniques that reinforced support to the airline and airport targets, or outstanding marketing results.
The shortlisted finalists were nominated by airlines and a respected panel of judges made up of senior members of the airline network planning community from the region then reviewed the submissions in order to determine the winners. The panel consisted of the following experts:
- Darren Scott, Network Planning – Latin America and Caribbean, United Airlines
- John Kirby, Senior Director, International, Southwest Airlines
- John Checketts, Director, Route Planning, JetBlue Airways
- Benjamin Brookman, Senior Analyst, Network Planning, Alaska Air
We offer our gratitude to the panel and our congratulations to our client, LVCVA!
